Transformation Tuesday

😺😺😺😺😺😺 LONG BLOG WARNING 😺😺😺😺😺😺    We have been on vacation, we have indulged, eaten healthy, took walks on the beach, were physically active and relaxed in the sun............... it was a time to unplug, relax and take in the grace of being able to spend a week at the beach! And we enjoyed it to the fullest, and we shared some of it with you through FB and IG.  But vacations end and the day to day creeps back in.  And it's time to get back on track with purpose and intention! 💣💣 Prior to going away my workouts were sporadic as was my nutrition, no excuses, ownership and accountability here.💣💣   And while I held true to a lot of good choices while we were away and made a lot of healthy choices too.  I enjoyed our time away at the beach and I had my share of fried clams, lobster and my total weakness, Dairy Queen ice cream!! The good news, I did not do much damage on the scale, but then again I was up about 10 pounds b...

It's Cherry Time

First fruits of our cherry tree!!  So excited that we got them before the birds did.  They always seem to beat us to them.   When John brought them in yesterday, Father's day.  I saw how perfect they were, with out a blemish or bird peck and it reminded me of my dad. He had a great big cherry tree in our backyard, along with numerous other fruit trees, and a garden that took up most of the back yard.  The front was filled with his roses and flowers, mostly roses, he loved roses and has two rose gardens on either side of the front steps leading up to the front door of our Cape style house.  They were fragrant and so big and beautiful. My favorites were the peace roses, they were a multi color of yellows and pinks and different hughes.   But I digress, I started out talking about the cherry tree.  Yes, the cherry tree, and if my father was not so dilligent about keeping them out of the tree they would have feasted on every last one and we w...

Sound of the waves

There is something about being at the beach and the glorous roar and sound of the waves that fills my heart with joy!  Maybe it is the power and might of the sea, the calming effect it has on my sould and wonder that fills my heart in the witness of its majestic splendor.   Whatever it is, I wish I could bottle it and take it with me always!!  Just the thought of being by the water, walking in the sand, catching the early sounds of the day got me moving and out of the house.   Guess I need to remember that the next time I want to hit the snooze button on the alarm, talk myself out of doing something that I know I need to do and that is good for my body, mind, spirit and soul. Thankfully, it was pretty easy this vacation, yes there truly is someting about the sounds of the waves.

BELIEF is a powerful thing!

I  had the blessing of attending a training this weekend with an amazing group of coaches from all around the country, each with their own powerful and inspiring story and all of us on similar paths, with a passion to be the best version of ourselves that we can be and an overwhelming desire to help and serve others. I am still processing the weekend, the wisdom our presenters shared, the beautiful new friendships that were so easily formed, the personal insights and growth that are moving within me that will help me to be a better version of myself and the overwhelming joy that fills me heart to have shared this experience with my beloved. So while I continue to process my thoughts, I will share with you this……. - We have one life to live - Every breath we draw is a gift and a grace - I am more determined than ever to conquer my fears, be the best version of me and the woman that I was created to be and to live, love and serve freely, fully and without reservation t...

Never Say Never

Never, never, never did I ever believe I would drink decaf coffee! I have had an inherent resistance to it, with a why bother attitude. Although I always kept some in the house because my sister drinks it and I like to have it for when she visits, I would never even consider drinking it, even if I was out of coffee 🍮. I used to think, decaf? What was the point? Anyone else with me there? Anyone who knows me knows that I am a double espresso caffe nero bollente girl! ☕️ Yes, there is actually an Italian song about boiling hot black coffee! But since the ultimate reset I have had to slowly bring coffee back in to my life after having not had it for several months. As they suggest, I have been gradually bringing it back in, been drinking more herbal teas and when I have coffee, which has not been daily, I have been making it with a 50/50 combination of regular and decaf and often making it with 75% decaf....and who knew, I LIKE IT! I get my coffee taste that I love without the jittery ...

Productive Tension - Bring It On!!

Can anyone guess what I am reading these days? Do you read or listen to audiobooks? What's your current jam? I heard this quote this morning while listening to my new audiobook....,,here's your que, name that book.....and it's been stirring up all kinds of ideas. Well maybe it's this quote or maybe it's the leggings I'm wearing today! I seem to get this big bold go for it freedom every time I wear them 🌺. Ask my beloved 💕 or maybe it's the hint of spring in the air. Or maybe it's a combination of it all. Whatever it is I know this: 🌼 All things are possible with God. 🌼 Trust, surrender and faith is a compass I cannot live without and that I must look to and practice daily and sometimes every 60 seconds. 🌼 Life is precious and too short 🌼 His grace and blessings are everywhere, even when I miss seeing them, they are there! 🌼 Freedom of time with my beloved and family and those we love is my driving force 🌼 A vision, plan, desire and wanting ...

#IamTeamBeachbody

#IamTeamBeachbody Life is so precious and far too short! I want to live it fully, freely, faithfully and boldly. I have spent a lot of time thinking that was what I was doing but a glance back a few years reminds me that I was actually doing just the opposite. I was captive in my overweight and out of shape body. And as much as I wanted to do something about it, I could never muster up the courage, the strength, the determination or even the motivation to do anything. And if I did manage to muster the motivation, I could never stick with it long enough to get a result because I got caught up in one excuse or another. I never had the time, I was always saying, it might work for you but it will never work for me, I was always too tired, too busy, too broke, too sick, too uncoordinated, too this, and too that, you name it and I could find an excuse to fit it. No judgement here, far from it. This is MY truth and the excuses I used and if I allowed myself to sit too long in the...
