Transformation Tuesday

😺😺😺😺😺😺 LONG BLOG WARNING 😺😺😺😺😺😺    We have been on vacation, we have indulged, eaten healthy, took walks on the beach, were physically active and relaxed in the sun............... it was a time to unplug, relax and take in the grace of being able to spend a week at the beach! And we enjoyed it to the fullest, and we shared some of it with you through FB and IG.  But vacations end and the day to day creeps back in.  And it's time to get back on track with purpose and intention! πŸ’£πŸ’£ Prior to going away my workouts were sporadic as was my nutrition, no excuses, ownership and accountability here.πŸ’£πŸ’£   And while I held true to a lot of good choices while we were away and made a lot of healthy choices too.  I enjoyed our time away at the beach and I had my share of fried clams, lobster and my total weakness, Dairy Queen ice cream!! The good news, I did not do much damage on the scale, but then again I was up about 10 pounds before we left.  And besides I

It's Cherry Time

First fruits of our cherry tree!!  So excited that we got them before the birds did.  They always seem to beat us to them.   When John brought them in yesterday, Father's day.  I saw how perfect they were, with out a blemish or bird peck and it reminded me of my dad. He had a great big cherry tree in our backyard, along with numerous other fruit trees, and a garden that took up most of the back yard.  The front was filled with his roses and flowers, mostly roses, he loved roses and has two rose gardens on either side of the front steps leading up to the front door of our Cape style house.  They were fragrant and so big and beautiful. My favorites were the peace roses, they were a multi color of yellows and pinks and different hughes.   But I digress, I started out talking about the cherry tree.  Yes, the cherry tree, and if my father was not so dilligent about keeping them out of the tree they would have feasted on every last one and we would not have had our fresh cherrie

Sound of the waves

There is something about being at the beach and the glorous roar and sound of the waves that fills my heart with joy!  Maybe it is the power and might of the sea, the calming effect it has on my sould and wonder that fills my heart in the witness of its majestic splendor.   Whatever it is, I wish I could bottle it and take it with me always!!  Just the thought of being by the water, walking in the sand, catching the early sounds of the day got me moving and out of the house.   Guess I need to remember that the next time I want to hit the snooze button on the alarm, talk myself out of doing something that I know I need to do and that is good for my body, mind, spirit and soul. Thankfully, it was pretty easy this vacation, yes there truly is someting about the sounds of the waves.
